Microsoft announced today that the Xbox 360 was the #1 console for the month of September; outselling the PlayStation 3 5:1. Xbox 360 sales built upon its growth from last month, showing a 50 percent increase for the month, selling an average of 105,600 consoles per week.

Total sales were more than 528,000 Xbox 360 consoles sold, compared to 501,000 for Wii and 119,000 for PS3. PS3 sales posted an average weekly decline of 27 percent.

its weird because you cant seem to get a hold of a wii anywhere at the mo.

getting rid of my PS3 today, taking to long to release any games for it.

very true sewer, i think part of the fact is that there isnt a huge amount of wi consoles on sale causing people to panic and creating a bigger demand and awareness of the product. (nintendo restricting the shipment of wi's on porpose me thinks). But i still wont be buying one, xbox live offers the best online gaming service FACT and ps3 doesn't even compare because of its lack of quality online games.

Its funny how in uk sales are up 178% and on amazon.com they are up 908% its amzing how one set of figures says one thing and another says another thing. How about haze unreal tournamanet 3 socoam confrontation plus cod4 is better graphically on ps3. it isent dead yet. I never seen it was micorsoft said the news come on mark lets have news from a company that isent 1 sided like a retail report. i just post the news as it appears on other sites, now if that wrong thats not my fault is it??? Out of the games you list do any of them really stand out as MUST BUYS. Haze is coming to xbox 360 eventually, unreal is too and socom is just another variation on GRAW. Plus ive not yet seen a playstation 3 game too outshine the xbox 360 version ie darkness (just read ign reviews), cod3 as yet. The future for ps3 might contain some amazing games on the horizon but how long the we have to wait to see them is the worrying factor. I like many others was there at midnight to buy my ps3 and ive only own 2 games since then. Mainly as i only use it now as a blu-ray/ dvd player because of the lack of quality. This is just my personnal opinion on the matter and not to be taken as gospel

Good choice sewer the new gamercard for the PS3 is comming soon so people can see your acheivements. also cross game invites and cross game chat through the new Gamespy cliant thats comming soon to ps3 up to 8 people chatting instead of one to one.
So you will be able to join frends games through gamespy.
This is what it does
say im on folklore and your on haze you click the playstation button and pick my name and send me a game invite it pops up on my screen and i accept it and join your game, also for the acheivemnts or accomplishments as sony calls them you click the gamespy icon click profile pick my name and my accomplishments will be listsed. now that covers just about everyhting xbox has dosent it also remember all the accomplishments are linked to home. so people can see your trophys in the hall of fame. and this is comming very soon according to my sources
Also onr more thing with the playstation eye video messaging soon thats something xbox dosent do also conferanceing with 8 people in video chat.

this new gamer card, will it show the games that you have already played.
new in game chat sound good, just wish sony would bring out some type of controller like MS with head piece and mic

There should be a patch for older games but of course if they dident have any accomplishments in the game they wont show up but it will say you played it

like the idea of the gamer card, point dont bother me like some people.
